Chair massage is a style of seated massage that is performed in an ergonomically designed portable massage chair. The sessions are generally short between 10 and 15 minutes long and focus on one’s back, neck, shoulders and arms.
Clients are seated with their face comfortably cradled and the arms supported. This allows for the back and neck to relax completely wile the therapist works out tension using traditional Swedish massage techniques such as kneading and compression. Chair massage is performed over the clothes and does not require any oil, so clients will not need to disrobe in order to receive their massage.
Due to the ease and portability of the massage chair, therapists are able to offer on site chair massages to many office environments including trade shows, employee appreciation events and conferences or simply after a hard week. It is a great way to work out muscle tension and boost office morale!
